He’s been part of two superteams—the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns. The Suns, in particular, entered this season with sky-high expectations as a potential powerhouse in the league. Yet, they’ve failed to make a significant impact in the Western Conference standings.
Amid their struggles, a viral hypothetical trade on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked discussions about Durant potentially returning to the Warriors.
The proposed trade would send Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Buddy Hield, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Kevon Looney. Unsurprisingly, the NBA community had plenty to say about the hypothetical move.
One fan enthusiastically endorsed the idea, commenting, “They should do it. Bring KD back.”
Another suggested tweaking the proposal: “Keep Hield & Kuminga, trade Wiggins and Draymond.”
However, not everyone was on board. A skeptical fan responded, “Giving up every asset for 50 games of KD?? Absolutely not.”
The trade sparked mixed reactions, with some fans embracing the idea of reuniting Durant with the Warriors, while others hesitated at the prospect of giving up young assets for an aging superstar.
Regardless, it’s clear that both the Suns and the Warriors could use a shake-up. Currently sitting at 12th and 9th in the Western Conference standings, respectively, neither team has lived up to expectations this Season.
