Lansing, Michigan (WILX) – With only 62 days before opening day, the Lansing Lugnuts have named their coaching staff for the team’s 29th season in Michigan’s capital city.
Darryl Kennedy, who served as the Assistant Hitting Coach for the Double-A Midland RockHounds in 2024, has been chosen the 19th manager in franchise history. He adds 22 years of minor league management experience to Lansing.
Craig Kennedy’s journey through baseball is quite impressive, showcasing a wealth of experience across various levels and leagues. His track record, including two Gulf Coast League championships and a solid managerial record of 976-939, reflects his ability to develop talent and maintain competitive teams. Reaching his 1,000th career MiLB win will be a significant milestone, especially as he leads the Lansing Lugnuts in 2025.
His time as a bench coach with the Hanwha Eagles in the KBO likely provided valuable international experience, adding new dimensions to his leadership style.
