Three-star wide receiver Jonah Wilson from the class of 2026 has scheduled two key visits, both linked to his older brother, Jameis Winston—the youngest Heisman Trophy winner and the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wilson recently announced that he will be visiting Auburn and Florida State, two programs that share history with the Winston name.
In the 2014 BCS National Championship, Jameis Winston orchestrated a game-winning drive to lead Florida State to a 34-31 victory over Auburn, securing the Seminoles’ third national title and their first in nearly 15 years. Now, almost a decade later, Jonah Wilson—a 5-foot-10, 153-pound receiver from Hoover High School in Alabama—is bringing these two programs into competition once again, this time in the recruiting battle.
According to On3, Wilson is ranked as the No. 62 wide receiver nationally and the 18th-best prospect in Alabama. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is aiming to bolster his 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks fourth in the nation. The Tigers hope to add Wilson as their third wide receiver commitment, joining four-star prospects Devin Carter and Denairius Gray.
