The 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior from Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia, is ranked as the No. 24 quarterback nationally by the 247Sports composite rankings.

McWhorter has several visits planned, including a trip during spring practices in March and an unofficial visit in June. His official visit is set for June 6-8, per 247Sports.

During his sophomore season in 2023, McWhorter passed for 2,128 yards and 20 touchdowns, completing 65% of his attempts. He also rushed for 530 yards and five touchdowns. His junior season was cut short by a broken fibula and dislocated ankle, which required surgery. Before the injury, he had totaled 1,200 yards of offense, 14 touchdowns, and an impressive 72% completion rate.

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti is working to build his 2026 recruiting class, though he currently has just one commitment from three-star offensive lineman Sam Simpson out of Wisconsin.

McWhorter was particularly impressed by Indiana’s junior day event, which gave him insight into the Hoosier program. Reflecting on Indiana’s 2024 season, he highlighted the resilience of the team under Cignetti’s leadership:

“What sticks out the most is how in year one Coach Cignetti came in and proved himself,” McWhorter said. “Week after week they would get doubted, and they would still carry on and shock the world and move on like nothing happened.”
