JUST IN: Alabama Plans Visit With Top 2026 College Football Prospect

“The Alabama Crimson Tide are preparing for the 2025 season, marking their second year under head coach Kalen DeBoer. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Alabama is set to host a highly coveted recruit for a spring visit.

On March 22, the Crimson Tide will welcome 2026 linebacker Anthony Davis to campus. Davis also has visits scheduled with Auburn (March 29), Michigan (April 1), Ole Miss (April 5), and USC (April 12).

Several top programs are vying for Davis’ commitment, including Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Penn State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. Hailing from Loganville, Georgia, Davis plays for Grayson High School.”

“Davis is ranked as the No. 20 linebacker in the 2026 class and is considered a four-star prospect, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Alabama the second-best odds (23%) to secure Davis, trailing Auburn (39.2%). Florida (10%) ranks third, followed by USC (5.7%) and Ole Miss (5.7%).

Currently, Alabama does not have any linebacker commitments for the 2026 class. However, their current commitments include four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson, four-star edge rusher Jamarion Matthews, and four-star interior offensive lineman Chris Booker. Davis has visited Tuscaloosa multiple times, making three unofficial visits and scheduling an official visit for June 20.

In Kalen DeBoer’s first season as head coach, Alabama finished with a 9-4 record. After a 4-0 start, the team suffered its first loss to Vanderbilt, followed by defeats against Tennessee and Oklahoma during the regular season. The Crimson Tide concluded the 2024 season with a 19-13 loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

DeBoer’s second season at Alabama will begin with a matchup against Florida State, though the date and time have yet to be announced.”
