BREAKING: Rams Fans Receives Devastating News

The Los Angeles Rams made a financial move on Thursday, securing a contract extension for a player nearing the end of his rookie deal. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams and wide receiver Tutu Atwell agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract. Atwell’s agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, negotiated the deal.

Last season, the Rams made the playoffs and advanced to the Divisional round before falling 28-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles. The team clinched its 15th NFC West title, trailing only the San Francisco 49ers (22) in division championships. Atwell is set to return for his fifth season with the Rams in 2025.

Originally drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Louisville, Atwell had an impressive college career, amassing 2,307 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns from 2018 to 2020. He initially contributed to the Rams as a kick returner in 2021 but was sidelined after eight games due to a season-ending shoulder injury. Atwell rebounded in 2022 with 18 receptions for 298 yards and one touchdown. He continued to improve, recording 483 yards and three touchdowns in 2023 and setting a career-high in 2024 with 562 receiving yards and 62 receptions.

Atwell’s rookie contract, which spanned from 2021 to 2024, was valued at $5.9 million, according to Spotrac. His new deal includes a $5 million signing bonus and is fully guaranteed. If he does not sign another extension with the Rams, Atwell will become an unrestricted free agent in 2026.
