The Georgia Bulldogs are actively searching for their future quarterback. While they have yet to announce a starter for the upcoming college football season, they are already targeting top prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. One such prospect is Landon Duckworth, a four-star dual-threat quarterback from Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama.

Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Duckworth has made a name for himself across multiple sports. As a sophomore, he played a key role in Jackson’s 4A state basketball championship and is also an exceptional track athlete. His athleticism has caught the attention of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, along with other top college football programs.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3.com, Duckworth recently announced official visits to several schools, including Georgia on May 30.
While specific details about his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) valuation have not been publicly disclosed, On3 estimates his NIL worth at approximately $540,000.

Georgia is competing with several programs for Duckworth, including the Florida State Seminoles and Ole Miss Rebels. The consensus four-star is ESPN’s No. 1 ranked quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class.

Duckworth’s upcoming visit to Geor͏gia signifies mutual interest between the q͏uarter͏back͏ and Bulldogs program. If the Dawgs are able to land Duckworth, the star could follow Gunner Stockton as Georgia’s next QB1.

At the moment, Georgia is primarily focused on whether Stockton can fend off Ryan Montgomery and Ryan Puglisi to take over as the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback, replacing Carson Beck. While Georgia continues to pursue five-star quarterback Jared Curtis in the 2026 class, Duckworth remains a strong alternative should he choose to commit to the Oregon Ducks.
