The Georgia Bulldogs have yet to secure a commitment from a five-star recruit in the 2026 class, but they received a positive development over the weekend. Cornerback Brandon Arrington from Mount Miguel High School in La Mesa, California, is scheduled to visit Georgia on March 21. Ranked as the top cornerback and the No. 12 overall prospect in On3’s industry rankings, Arrington has garnered over 40 scholarship offers.
Despite not having visited Athens yet, Arrington has indicated that Georgia could be a strong contender in what is shaping up to be a competitive recruiting race. He told On3 that he has narrowed his choices to six programs, with Georgia among them.
“My top schools are Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, and USC,” Arrington said. “For me, relationships matter, and these schools have been with me throughout the process. I can see myself at any of them, and they all have a track record of developing players.”
Regarding his decision timeline, Arrington—who has an On3 NIL valuation of $393,000—said he plans to finalize his official visits and aims to visit most, if not all, of his top six schools this spring.
“Each of these programs is recruiting me hard and wants me on campus,” Arrington added. “After my official visits, I’ll likely narrow my list to four schools before making a final commitment. Just like my current list, my decision will come down to relationships, development, and finding the best fit for me.”
Georgia has a strong reputation for producing NFL-caliber defensive backs, with three members of last year’s secondary selected in the draft and safety Malaki Starks projected as a potential first-round pick this year. With its consistently dominant defense, Georgia is an appealing option for Arrington, and the Bulldogs will look to strengthen their position when he visits later this month.
