BREAKING: 49ers Trade RB Jordan Mason to Vikings, And Landed Top CB In Blockbuster Deal

The San Francisco 49ers have announced a trade, sending running back and 2025 sixth-round draft pick (187th overall) to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for Minnesota’s 2025 fifth-round pick (160th overall) and a 2026 sixth-round selection. Additionally, the team has signed cornerback Siran Neal to a two-year contract.

Mason (5-11, 223) joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent and played in 45 games (six starts) over three seasons (2022-24). He recorded 236 carries for 1,253 yards (5.3 yards per carry) and seven touchdowns, along with 14 receptions for 122 yards.

Mason also appeared in six postseason games, rushing twice for 12 yards (6.0 average). In 2024, he set career highs with 153 carries, 789 rushing yards, and three touchdowns.

A 25-year-old from Gallatin, TN, Mason played five seasons (2017-21) at Georgia Tech, appearing in 43 games (20 starts) and totaling 449 carries for 2,349 yards and 17 touchdowns. He earned Third-Team All-ACC honors as a senior in 2021.

Neal (6-0, 206) was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round (154th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Over his seven-year career with the Bills (2018-23) and Miami Dolphins (2024), he has played in 114 games (one start), tallying 66 tackles, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and 1.0 sack.

In 10 postseason appearances, he recorded seven tackles, 1.0 sack, one pass defensed, and three special teams tackles. In 2024, Neal played 17 games for Miami, contributing four tackles, two passes defensed, and seven special teams tackles.

A 30-year-old from Eufaula, AL, Neal played five seasons (2013-17) at Jacksonville State University, where he appeared in 51 games and recorded 191 tackles, 24 passes defensed, 13.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 0.5 sack.
