Spring is just around the corner, which means Georgia football is gearing up for their brief return to the field during the offseason. Spring practice always brings excitement to Athens, as it offers fans their first glimpse into next season’s team.
Who is gaining momentum in the quarterback competition? How are the new transfers settling in? Which players have shown the most improvement since last year?
These questions—and many more—will start to be answered during spring practices, making it a thrilling time for Georgia football. Additionally, the team’s annual Pro Day and Spring Game are fast approaching.
In fact, on Friday, Kirby Smart and Georgia officially announced the dates for all three events, and fortunately, the wait won’t be too long.

Georgia not following trend of cancelling Spring Game
The first spring practice is always a welcome sight for Georgia football fans, and Pro Day is an exciting event as well. However, of the three, the Spring Game is the one fans anticipate the most.
This year, several programs—including Texas, USC, and Nebraska—are canceling their Spring Games to prevent other teams from scouting potential transfer portal candidates. Some UGA fans wondered if Georgia would do the same.
However, the majority of Georgia fans were against this idea, as the Spring Game is their only chance to see the team in action before the fall. Fortunately, Georgia has decided to move forward with the game, which is officially set for April 12. While it will be televised, the exact time and channel have yet to be announced. But for now, Georgia fans can celebrate the opportunity to fill Sanford Stadium once again and get their first glimpse of the 2025 Bulldogs.
