According to ESPN’s Eli Lederman, Georgia has a strong chance of securing a commitment from him, he is ranked as the No. 1 athlete in the 2026 recruiting cycle by the 247Sports composite rankings. The Bulldogs are in contention with other top SEC programs, including Alabama and Texas A&M, for Arrington’s commitment.
“The Bulldogs could make major progress during Arrington’s visit this month,” Lederman wrote on Tuesday. “He is one of the fastest prospects in the 2026 class and has previously considered Texas A&M and Alabama as frontrunners. However, Georgia now has an opportunity to influence his decision.”
In addition to being the top-rated athlete, Arrington is ranked No. 11 overall in the 2026 class by the 247Sports composite. Lederman noted that Arrington is expected to make an unofficial visit to Athens, Georgia, during the quiet period. Known for his exceptional speed, Arrington has demonstrated his athleticism by running a 6.67-second 60-meter dash in high school track.

Arrington will finish his high school career at Mount Miguel in Spring Valley, Calif., this fall. Georgia faces plenty of competition as On3.com still has Texas A&M as a heavy favorite to land Arrington.
