BREAKING: Miami Hurricanes Fans Receives Massive Boost News About Top Prospect.

Florida State has broadened its offensive line recruiting efforts in recent months. However, the Seminoles won’t be able to secure every prospect.

On Thursday night, four-star offensive tackle Ben Congdon committed to Miami, choosing the Hurricanes over offers from Florida State, Penn State, and Florida, among others. His decision came on the same day he took an unofficial visit to Miami.

In this story:

Florida State entered the race later in the process, offering Congdon a scholarship in December. The 6-foot-7 offensive lineman visited Tallahassee in January for a junior day, where he met with position coach Herb Hand. However, Miami ramped up its efforts and secured his initial commitment. It remains uncertain whether the Ohio native will explore other programs, but Florida State is expected to keep an eye on him as they continue searching for offensive tackle options.

Congdon, who stands at 6-foot-7 and weighs 285 pounds, is ranked as the No. 316 overall prospect, the No. 29 offensive tackle, and the No. 15 player in Ohio for the 2026 class, according to 247Sports.
