The Tigers, who made a postseason run in 2024 but lacked pitching depth, are unlikely to pursue high-priced arms like Corbin Burnes or Max Fried, making a trade for Stroman or a lower-profile signing a more feasible option. Detroit’s front office recognizes the importance of bolstering their rotation to avoid repeating the mistakes of last year when they sold at the trade deadline and faced challenges in October without sufficient pitching support.
